This major river in Vietnam flows for 470 kilometres through Ha Giang Province, Phu Tho Province and Tuyen Quang Province. The Lo River originates in China and has a basin area of 39,000 km². The lush mountains and jungles across the basin provided a shelter for Viet Minh’s war-zone.
