U By Uniworld Pushes Boundaries With New Themed River Cruises

5th March 2019

Themed rivers cruises are a great choice if you want to meet some like-minded people whilst also indulging one of your passions in life. Enjoy picturesque scenery and fantastic destinations whilst taking part in activities linked to a central theme. This could include onboard classes, shore excursions and even Q&A sessions with renowned experts or famous faces from the field.

Specific themes can range from the everyday to the unusual, and U by Uniworld is certainly offering the latter with its two latest additions. Sailing in the summer of 2019, guests will be able to enjoy a drag-themed river cruise and one centred on tattooing. ‘U in Drag’ and ‘Tattoo on U’ will both take you on the line’s ‘Germany’s Finest’ itinerary, which visits ports of call such as Würzburg, Nuremberg and Regensburg.

Tattoo

Famous faces from the TV show RuPaul’s Drag Race will be joining guests on 6th of July for a flamboyant cruise into the world of drag. Not only will there be appearances and performances by Jiggly Caliente, Phi Phi O'Hara and Darienne Lake, the trio will also lead a bar crawl through the streets of one of the towns and cities that you’ll visit. Plus, the seven-night Main and Danube River cruise will include karaoke nights, comedy shows, make-up tutorials and dinners – all hosted by these vibrant VIPs.

Alternatively, you can choose to join celebrity tattoo artists Bobby Moss, Reese Hilburn and Steve Tefft on 17th August for ink-inspired fun. The onboard activities will include a welcome party and brunch seminar with expert Paul Gambino and there will be chances to win a tattoo courtesy of one of the famous faces. Every guest will also take home a goodie bag filled with after-care products and have the chance to join a tattoo parlour ‘crawl’ in one of the destinations visited. Tattoo model Heather Moss will also be joining the cruise to show off her favourite designs and answer any questions.
