Founded in 1976, CroisiEurope is now celebrating its 40th birthday as the largest river cruise line based in Europe. All of their European river cruise ships have a capacity of 82-190 passengers and currently ply the majority of the region’s rivers and canals. The purchase of the Mekong River Cruise Company in 2014 also means that CroisiEurope have now expanded their repertoire to include Vietnam and Cambodia river exploration.
In 2007 the company also launched a subsidiary company, CroisiMer and now offer ocean-going cruises aboard their ship La Belle de l'Adriatique.
Operating a fleet of over 45 ships, CroisiEurope offers you the opportunity to experience some of Europe’s most dazzling cities and attractions, including, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Belgium. With four ships now traversing the Mekong River, the more adventurous traveller can now explore the wonders of the rivers in Vietnam and Cambodia.
Each ship is designed as a floating hotel, small enough to moor at a city port, but large enough to provide you with every amenity and comfort for a relaxing sail. The capacity of each vessel ranges from just 100-200 passengers, which allows for a warm atmosphere on board, but with room for some quiet privacy.
Though room size will differ from ship to ship, all CroisiEurope cabins are designed with comfort in mind. The large sliding windows in each room provide you with stunning panoramic views of the river scenery as you meander by.
Each cabin comes fully equipment with amenities to ensure your personal comfort and needs are catered for aboard. These include satellite television, a radio, hairdryer and a safe for your valuables as well as an en suite featuring a shower, toilet and sink, and complimentary towels.
The heart and soul of food on board CroisiEurope is fine French gastronomy. Each meal and the atmosphere itself is designed to make you feel as if you are in your very own French restaurant and to experience the very best of French haute cuisine.
The onboard chefs prepare 3-course meals for both lunch and dinner which are served in the onboard restaurant. Midday and evening meals are also paired with carefully selected wines which will give you a delightful and immersive experience. Breakfast is a self-serve buffet also in the onboard restaurant, which includes pastries, coffee, tea, juice, breads, jams, a variety of sausages and cold cuts, eggs, fresh fruit, and yoghurt.
All of the ships in CroisiEurope’s fleet are design to be bright and spacious, to aid your feeling of pure relaxation on board. The vessels all have ample space and a contemporary layout, to highlight CroisiEurope's attention to elegance.
Onboard spaces include a large lounge at the bow of the ship offering panoramic views of the scenery outside. There is also an onboard souvenir shop and a library to enjoy some quiet reading time. Soak up the sun or just enjoy the view on the ship's sun deck.
Shore excursions available include walking tours or panoramic coach tours designed to give you an overview of each port of call. Others may focus on particular city attractions and, depending on the day’s schedule, there may be the opportunity to stay for longer and explore on your own.
All of the excursions on offer are optional, and you are free to explore each port on your own. Most of the trips are also provided at an additional price and are available to purchase once on board.
