Step Onboard Queen Elizabeth with Lorraine

Wow. From the moment I embarked on Queen Elizabeth, I was in a world of timeless luxury. Her immaculate interior design was so beautiful with hints to the QE2. Her art deco combined with elegant authenticity, truly takes your breath away.

This was my first time experiencing this cruise line and it met all of my expectations. From the very beginning, I was in awe of the ship that would be my home for the next few nights.

During my time with Cunard, I stayed in a Balcony Stateroom as we sailed from Rome to Barcelona – and the weather was beautiful. My stateroom had Penhaligon’s toiletries to use and many other lovely amenities. And what’s more, was returning from an evening enjoying the entertainment was perfect as the turn down service was exceptional.

Whilst indulging onboard, we got to enjoy the Signature cocktail tasting, which was great value and was hosted impeccably – even with table mats to match each cocktail. We also dined in a couple of different venues like the Britannia Restaurant, however, my favourite was Steakhouse at The Verandah. This was served by white-gloved waiters who asked you which knife you would like for your steak. Although this restaurant is an extra cost, I would recommend this.

Even though the ship was at full capacity, it never felt full and there was always something to see or do. Guest speakers frequent Cunard ships regularly and I was even lucky enough to meet Sir Steve Redgrave and I held his 1996 Atlanta Olympics gold medal. What a treat.

Even on shore, Cunard offers diverse excursions and what they offer will have you spoilt for choice. We opted for wine tasting at a family-run winery which was fun, interactive and will hold a special place in my heart.

In my opinion, is there any other cruise line like Cunard? No!

How the cruise made me feel will stay with me for a long time. The crew, ship, itinerary and atmosphere are the best I have ever experienced.

You need to try it for yourself and be immersed in a cruise which will leave lasting memories forever.
